“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:6
The Lord, our Abba; our Father in heaven has placed on HIM the iniquity of us all. Your iniquity was accounted for all those years ago on the cross; Jesus has already paid the price.
To truly repent, you must feel regret, you must change your mind. Repentance is not an emotion, though it carries immeasurable emotion, because as you repent, the weight of your sin is lifted from your shoulders and is replaced by a heavenly pat and comfort from the Holy Spirit.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17b
In a sense, repentance is going back and reliving failure; your sin, to see the error of your ways. To recognize where you went wrong and to see how Satan works. Once you begin to understand how the devil works, you will realize just how great God truly is; and how regardless of your sin, when you return to Him, He is there; waiting to help you pick up the pieces and put your life back together; filling in the biggest missing piece of all; JESUS.
It is not a question if you will repent; but rather when. Will you repent on your own accord, or will you wait until it is too late? We will all face our Lord; our God and His Father.
“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 3:10
Repent while God is near, repent and return to the Lord. Do not allow yourself to be cut down and thrown into the fire.
Heavenly Father, I return to You Father, do not cause Your anger to fall on me, You are a God of mercy; please be merciful to me. I acknowledge my iniquity; for I have transgressed and I have not obeyed Your voice. Lead me and fill me with Your knowledge and Your understanding; gather me to Your Throne. Put me among Your children, and give to me a pleasant land; a beautiful heritage. I rebuke, renounce, and reject all wickedness and pride and I return to You of my own free will; I put away my abominations and I will not be moved. In truth, in judgement, and in righteousness I swear; You live and You reign and to You be all glory, honor, power and dominion. Forgive me of my sins Lord, pardon my transgressions and blot out my iniquity. Change me Lord and I will be changed. In the honorable and holy name of Jesus I pray; Amen.
Proclaim Jeremiah 3:22-23 and 25: I return to the Lord and He heals my wayward heart. I seek the Lord; for He is the Lord; my God and He is my salvation. I stand boldly in the name of Jesus and I honor God in all I do, I hear His voice and I obey. (And repeat)
May you be blessed in the name of Jesus and may you revel in His glory. May you be set apart and fulfill His good and perfect will for you, and may everything you do honor and glorify him this day forth and forevermore.
Praying from Jeremiah 3
