A place of prayer

We are all in this together.

Through the silence..

“‘Job speaks without knowledge, his words are without wisdom.’” Job 34:35

It is our thoughts that shape our words and it is our words that shape our worlds. If you speak wickedness and bitterness, that shall be your life. When you speak love and forgiveness; it brings honor and glory to God who in turn; reflects to you that honor and glory. Isaiah 60:1 tells us, ” Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. The glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Wow.

His glory. It is His glory that brings new life to dead situations and allows God to use you. Your tongue is the most powerful tool you will ever have. Use it to speak life. Love. Forgiveness.  Restoration. Be a part of the solution, not the problem.

Proverbs 21:23 tells us, “Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.”

Had Job been quiet in chapter 13, perhaps we wouldn’t have to go through 42 chapters before we read of his repentance and restoration. Remarkable as it was, he misspoke and caused alot of his own trouble. Job; an honest and righteous man; a man of whom God found great delight, but…. He spoke without knowing what he was truly saying and he caused himself terrible anguish.

If you are in a place of terrible anguish today and do not know what to do… do nothing. Be quiet, say nothing. Listen. Feel. Breathe.

Say a prayer and open your bible. Rest in Him as He leads you through His word to show you His way. It will be the most important thing you do all day. Get right with God early this day so you can spend the rest of the day bringing him glory and honor. Be quiet and just listen, He is speaking directly to you.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being the same yesterday,  today and forever. Please establish my heart with Your grace Lord, and open my eyes to the things You want me to see. Open my ears to what You want me to hear and my heart Lord; open my heart to what You feel. Open my mind Lord and give to me understanding of Your will. Keep Your eyes on me and keep Your ears open to my prayer Father, help me to hold my tongue. Help me to guard my mouth and my tongue and keep me from calamity. Create me in a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit in me. I put all my hope in You. All my faith is in You. All my trust is in You and I exalt Your holy name. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Proclaim: I open my mouth with wisdom and on my tongue is the law of kindness. I am a single minded woman; stable in all my ways. I guard my mouth and tongue, I keep my soul from trouble.

Blessing: May He calm every storm in your life today. May He restore what is broken in your life. May this day, you seek His face and find His peace. May you knock on His door and may He answer with abundant joy.

🕊
