“I will lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.”

A good night’s sleep is truly a blessing from God. There are many reasons sleep may elude us; but… with a right heart and sincere prayer, God moves.

Whatever the reason, He knows and He is leading and guiding you this very moment. Do not be afraid. Instead of seeking an escape, seek the Creator of the heavens and earth. Trust that He is seeking you. He is.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your good and perfect Word, and for Your constant presence in my life. I often forget that I can rely on You for everything including a peaceful night of sleep. Thank Your for hearing me when I call and for setting me apart for Yourself. Father, when I sleep well, I am able to function and process my thoughts and emotions with a clear head and an open heart, and I ask You to please show me Your goodness and lift up Your countenance upon me. As my heart overflows with gladness at serving You, I only love You more. You alone make me dwell in safety, allowing me to lie down in peace and sleep. Keep me in Your perfect peace and give to me this night restful sleep so that when I wake, I am at my best. Help me to honor and glorify You in ALL I do, as I seek Your truth. Protect me from the evil one Lord, and bless my soul. All my trust is in You Lord, thank you for being You Father, and for hearing my prayer. In Your Son’s perfect and precious name I pray, Amen.
