“Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now IS, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.” John 5:25
Hear the voice of the Lord! There is a place you must be to hear it; literally and figuratively; but you must be far removed from sin. Colossians 2:13 tells us, “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.”
To obey Him, you must hear His voice. To hear His voice, you must step away from all that is not right; from all that is untrue; all that is not good and spend some time in the presence of the Most Holy One. Many times we as humans are used to reading between the lines, always trying to figure out what someone is really trying to say but we never have to do that with God. His word clearly and plainly tells us what He expects of us, and throughout both the old and new testament, He is crystal clear on His instructions. Do what is right and good before the Lord and He will lead you to the land He swore to your father’s; He will cast out all your enemies from before you; He will because that is His promise to you.
The devil sits on your left shoulder whispering evil and deceitful thoughts into your ear; causing you to question all that is good; all that is right; all that is true in your life. If there is something in your life causing division, deception, disaster, and/or compromise; rest assured you are hearing the wrong voice.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
Heavenly Father,
Your judgements are righteous and Your mercy endures forever, I exalt You Lord; Most Holy One and I love Your judgements, your precepts, and Your statutes. Thank You for Your Word, and thank You for leading me away from all that is wrong and helping me make all the wrong things right. I take up Your armor Lord; my God and I will do all that I can to withstand in this evil day. I gird my loins with truth, and I put on the breastplate of righteousness. I shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, and above all I take the shield of faith which quenches every fiery dart of the wicked one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word and I pray always; with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. In the mighty name of Jesus, please deliver me from the spirits of compromise, deceit, and division and send me Your Holy Spirit to lead me, to guide me, and to comfort me as I seek Your will. Help me to remain strong, honest, and reconciled with all that is good, and right, and true. It is Your will I seek; open my ears Lord and give me ears to hear. Open my eyes and give me eyes to see. In the precious and perfect name of Jesus I pray; Amen.
Proclaim: I take up the full armor of God and I will do all that I can to withstand in this evil day. I gird my loins with truth, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. I shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, and above all I take the shield of faith which quenches every fiery dart of the wicked one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God and I pray always; with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
Blessings: May you have ears to hear and eyes that see. May you hear and see God in all things and may you hear His voice and obey. May you do what is good and right and true in the sight of the Lord, and may He go before you and make all your paths straight.
