“The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2a-b
We have no control over how we are raised; with God, in church; or without God, not in church. Some have God and do not go to church. Others do not have God and always go to church. And some… Some do just as His word says and they seek Him, and they find Him.
When they seek Him and they find Him; they are led by Him and those are the types of people we want to surround ourselves with. But, even surrounding ourselves with the right people will not get us into heaven… Our relationship with God is very, very personal, and is only as deep as we allow it to be. It is only as meaningful as the effort we put into it. Effort is everything.
Seek Him. Seek God. Be found by Him. Do not forsake the Lord; your God but seek Him and be found by Him.
How do you seek God in a way to get His attention?
You pray.
You open your Bible and you read it.
You humble yourself by fasting.
You change.
Heavenly Father,
You are the one true God, and You are mine Lord; You are my God. I make You the Lord of my life and I surrender to Your good and acceptable and perfect will in my life. Your word tells me that if I seek You, I will find You and that is what I am doing. I seek You Lord, I seek your face; I seek Your Kingdom, I seek Your will. I repent Lord, do not let me perish. Father, I know it is Your good pleasure to give me the kingdom so I give You my heart; I make You my treasure. Remove from me the spirits of disbelief and doubt, in the name of Jesus and instill in me a new spirit; give to me Your Holy Spirit and fill me with awe and wonder. I see You moving and I invite You to work in every area of my life; every relationship and every detail I surrender to You. I rebuke, renounce, and reject the devil and his lies saying I am not worthy and not loved. I declare that I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me and I live by faith in Jesus; in Your Son because He loved me and gave Himself for me. Not I, but Christ in me, I am Your own special person and I abide in You; please abide in me. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Proclaim Zephaniah 2:3: I seek the Lord, I uphold His justice. I seek righteousness and I seek humility so that I will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.
Blessing: May you seek the Lord your God with all your heart and may you find Him. In return, may He find you and may He bless you and keep you. May you be strong and courageous and may He reward all your hard work.
