A place of prayer

We are all in this together.

A prayer for depression..

“To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3

Depression is a tool of the evil one to keep you from experiencing God’s best for you. Fight it, do not let it win.

We are told in John 14:13-14, that whatever we ask for in the name of Jesus, that it will be given, and He will do so that His Father in heaven is glorified. I’d like to pray with you regarding your depression. I too have been very depressed, and it was in God that I was delivered from the spirit of depression.

Pray this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father,

You are a good good Father and I exalt You. You gave your one and only Son that I would have life; and that I would have it more abundantly, so I come to You today in earnest and sincere prayer and I pray that You deliver me from the spirit of heaviness and replace it with the garment of praise. I rebuke, renounce and reject the spirit of heaviness, of depression, of sadness and any other evil spirit that is trying to prevent me from seeing all the good things you have placed in my life. Lord, please give me eyes to see You and ears to hear You, and help me to lean not on my own understanding. I seek Your will in my life Father, and in You alone I place all my trust. In You is all my hope, all my faith is in you. Restore me to you O Lord, and fill me with your everlasting love and all encompassing peace. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Say this out loud (over and over): I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my paths.

Blessings:

May the everlasting love of God flow in you, through you and overflow you. May you have peace that surpasses all understanding. May your depression be cast away, and may it be replaced with joyful praise in the precious name of Jesus.

Accept it and marvel in His wondrous works.
