“That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 1:7

Genuine faith is more precious than gold. You will be tested by God, and you will be tested daily. To learn more about God testing us, we read in the book of Job very early on that God visits us every morning and that He indeed tests us daily.

Look at Job 7:18 and 7:19 with me; in which Job is speaking to God “That you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment? How long? Will You not look away from me, and let me alone…”

God tests us until we finally get it right, until we pass the test; even still; we continue to be tested, for in the fire is where our heart is refined. Yes, your heart is as gold to God, and it is only through fire that it is refined.

Many pray not to be tested; but that does not align with His word. Instead pray to have the wisdom to discern the test, asking for strength to overcome the snare of remaining the same; not praising, not honoring, not giving glory where it is due. The truth is; Jesus died a sinners death so you could live a life free of sin and bondage in Him. He became a curse so you could be a blessing. He was despised and rejected so you could be loved and accepted. Let the bonds of Satan’s deceit be severed today, and revel in the truth that God gave His one and only begotten Son to die for YOU. Today, live for Him because He died for you and you will see what true love really is.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for giving Your one and only begotten Son to die a sinners death to save a sinner like me. I greatly rejoice although for a little while I have been grieved by various trials. I freely give You all praise, all honor and all glory at the revelation of Your love for me. All praise, honor, and glory be to You Lord. Though I can’t see Jesus, I believe and I rejoice with inexpressible joy and am full of glory in Your salvation. Thank You for Your Son Father; thank You for saving me, for blessing me, and for redeeming me. I call upon Your name and trust only in You, in the precious name of Jesus; I pray, Amen.

Proclaim: I am part of a chosen generation and a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special person and I proclaim the praises of Him who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. I walk in the light as He was in the light and I live to praise, honor, and glorify God.
