“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:16-17
The next verse is God; our Father inviting you to come reason with Him; verse 18 states: “Come now, let us reason together,…” take a moment and truly reflect on what your encounter with God; with our Lord God; Jesus and His Father will look like at this point in your life. Right now; today if you met Him in the next 5 minutes; how is that conversation going to go? What will that visit look like for you?
It could happen and we are told to be ready… It is written in Matthew 24:44 Jesus says “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Then in Matthew 25:13 Jesus says “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” And in 1 Corinthians 15:22 it is written that “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet…” The Lord is going to return; and He is going to return the same way He departed; He shall descend from a cloud…
Every decision we make is a step closer or a step away from Him; His kingdom, and sooner or later; all roads connect. All roads lead back to our Creator; the Creator of the ends of the earth. The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. Is He your God? Will you be happy to see Him or will fear paralyze you? Will awe overwhelm you or will regret overtake you?
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured.” Isaiah 1:18-20
Call out to Jesus; make Him Lord of your life.
Heavenly Father, You are Lord; the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and You abound in goodness and in truth. Please forgive my iniquity, my transgression, and my sin. I stand in the way and I see, I ask for the old paths, where the good way is and I will walk in it. I set my love upon You Lord, please deliver me and set me on high. In the name and by the blood of Jesus, make me white as snow. I call upon You, please answer my cry. You are my refuge and my fortress and I trust only in You. Heal my broken heart and bind up my wounds, lead me in paths of righteousness for Your name sake. Forgive me Father, pardon my transgression and blot out my iniquity. In the Holy and mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen. Thank you Father, Thank you.
Proclaim Psalm 91:9-11: Because I make the Lord my refuge, yes He; God; the Most High is my dwelling place, no evil shall befall me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling. For He gives His angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways.”
“The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; the Lord raises those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.” Psalm 146:8
May the Lord open your eyes and lift you up as you bow down in praise and worship. May the love of the Lord chase you down in all you do today. May you love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength and may you finally realize that is how He loves you.
