A place of prayer

We are all in this together.

A prayer when you are angry..

“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret – it only causes harm.” Psalm 37:8

True Faith is going to the Father even when you are angry. Acknowledging your anger, sitting with it, and working through it in Him, with Him, for Him. Are you seeking restoration? Let Him lead you through your anger. Let His Word help you process it. Get to the root, and prune there.

The bible does not tell us to never get angry. Paul tells us just the opposite; it is written in Ephesians 4:26-27 “”Be angry, and do not sin”; do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.”

God knew we would get angry. He gave us our emotions, and He gave us the ability to control our emotions. Controlling one self is the path of righteousness; it is the step right before perseverance and right after knowledge. The pathway to Godly relationships, to Godly character. To Godly love.

As you work on controlling your anger; may you grow in faith just as it is written in 2 Peter 1:5-8; “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Pray with me.

Heavenly Father,

There is one body, one Spirit, and just as I was called in one hope of my calling, you are God, Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in You; ALL, and I come to you with a remorseful and a repentant heart for all the time and all the people that I have lost due to anger. I repent for allowing my anger to take precedence over peace, and for all the people I have hurt by my inability to control my anger. Lord, I know that I cannot go back and fix the things that I have broken, but I do ask You to help me to not to continue to make the same mistakes. In the name of Jesus, I cast off the spirits of anger, bitterness, haste, malice, strife, unrighteousness and wrath. Remove from me the spirit of error and replace it with Your Spirit of truth. As I break free of self centeredness and self righteousness, give me eyes to see and ears to hear You Lord. I break and bind all spiritual blindness in my life and I ask You to work in my life as I learn how to respond differently. Fill me with Your righteousness, Your peace, and Your joy as I find strength in controlling my emotions and my responses. Set a guard O Lord over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips. Help me Lord to honor and glorify You as I walk in the light, just as Jesus was in the light. With all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and all my strength, I love You Lord. Thank You for hearing my prayer that I pray in the perfect name of Jesus, Amen.

Proclaim Proverbs 31:25-26: Strength and honor are my clothing; I shall rejoice in time to come. I open my mouth with wisdom, and on my tongue is the law of kindness.

Blessings: May you speak of excellent things, and from the opening of your lips come right things. May your mouth speak truth and may all your words be righteous in the sight of God. May you be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
