21 prayers for the nation; a prayer for comfort.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Heavenly Father,
You are my salvation, in You I trust and I will not be afraid. You are my strength and my song; I exalt You Father, less of me and more of You. I praise Your name O LORD, my God; You are gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. You are good to all and Your tender mercies are over all of Your works. Comfort me Lord, and comfort all Your people among this great nation. Comfort every member of the body of Your church. In the name of Jesus, I cast off all spirits of fear, discouragement, and weakness. Empty me of all that is not of You, and fill me with Your Holy spirit of truth and comfort me as I take refuge in You. Bind up the brokenhearted and let Your people go free. Open the prison to those who are bound and comfort Your people. Turn our mourning into joy and comfort us, give us gladness for our sorrow, let us rejoice and dance and be merry. Preserve and prosper America Abba, and send us Your holy spirit to lead us, to guide us, and to comfort us as our eyes are opened to Your will in our lives. In the holy, precious, and perfect name of Jesus Christ I pray; Amen.
Proclaim Psalm 144:1-2: Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle – my lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.
Blessings: May you rejoice and dance and may you be merry. May the Lord our God, turn your mourning into joy and give you gladness for sorrow. May you be filled with His holy spirit and be filled to overflowing.
“And in that day you will say: O LORD, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comfort me.” Isaiah 12:1
O LORD, I praise You! I praise Your holy name.
