“He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.” Proverbs 17:27
Heavenly Father,
I thank You for Your word Lord; Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I thank You for Your knowledge and understanding; for Your wisdom and Your righteousness. You love goodness and hate wickedness and I love what You love. Death and life are in the power of the tongue Lord, and I ask You to set a guard over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips and give me the words that You want me to speak. I pray this prayer over all Your people. Help us see Abba, that it is by the words that we speak that wickedness spreads and the devil’s work is done. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear and do not incline our hearts to any evil thing as we keep our eyes on You Lord. Replace our thoughts with Your thoughts and our words with Your words, and help us collectively to speak life into every situation. Deliver us from all spirits of defensiveness and outrage in the name of Jesus and help us to trust in You with all our hearts. Remove from Your people the need to prove themselves and the desire to have the last word. Seek us as we seek you and let us be found in peace by You. Create in us a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within Your children. It is You Father who arms us with strength and makes our ways perfect. In the holy, precious, and perfect name of Jesus, please hear my prayer and fill me with Your holy Spirit and let Him speak through me, let me never again do the devil’s work for him. I give You total dominion of my lips and my tongue, please use them for Your glory. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Proclaim Psalm 19:14: Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, You are my strength and my redeemer.
Blessings: May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose.
