“The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.” Psalm 29:11
He loves you even when you take that drink or smoke that smoke. He loves you when you overeat, overreact, over speak and are overly emotional. He loves you when you are angry, bitter and out of control. He roots for YOU. He sees you. He hears you. He reaches for YOU.
He understands your thoughts; even if they are wrong. He listens to your words, He knows your heart and He desires your attention.
Today, forgive yourself for what went wrong last night, and seek not the temporary fix; this day; seek instead the One who gives you strength. Seek Him who blesses His people with peace. Seek the Lord, your God and find Him.
Throw away the bottle. Ditch the smoke and put the food away. They will only fill you for a moment. You have tried everything and it isn’t working. Is the place you are in today deeper and darker than before? Pause. Pray. Reach for truth. Today is the day to lay down your addiction and rise up in connection with the King of glory. Our Lord, our Creator knows you. He loves you and His arms are wide open.
Heavenly Father,
Teach me Your way O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path. Life is hard, it is dark and scary and I cannot do this on my own. I seek Your light Lord; I seek Your face. Lead me in the paths of righteousness, not for my sake, but Yours. Forgive me Lord, forgive me for going astray and deliver me from the spirit of addiction Lord. In the name of Jesus I cast off the spirits the addiction, exhaustion, unbelief and doubt. In You I put all my trust, all my faith, all my hope is in You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and comfort me as I seek to break the bonds of wickedness. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart that is open to receive Your instruction. Your joy is my strength and this is the day You have made, please help me to rejoice and be glad in it. Help me Lord, and change my heart. Replace my thoughts with your thoughts Father and help me to see myself as you see me. Restore my soul and make me to lie down in green pastures. In the perfect name of Jesus I pray; Amen.
Proclaim Psalm 23:1: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Blessings: May you have eyes to see and ears to hear and an open heart to receive the instruction of the Lord. May He lead you, guide you, and comfort you as You seek His face. May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life and may today be the day you be delivered fully from addiction.
